William Allen, Adobe’s Vice President, announced on his official page on Twitter that Behance is starting on the 7th of March,2022 to enable its 10 million artists and content creators to upload original Solana NFTs (SOL Non-Fungible Tokens) to their profiles using the decentralized finance (DeFi) Phantom crypto wallet.
Our mission at @Behance has been steadfast for over a decade: help creatives build their careers on their own terms. Some choose to freelance, some want full-time gigs, some offer subscriptions, some sell templates, some livestream, and others sell NFTs. (1/8)— williamallen.eth (@williamallen) March 7, 2022
What are Solana NFTs? Can I Mint NFTs on Solana?
Although Adobe Behance already supports Ethereum Blockchain, many users seem to refuse to use it due to its high transaction costs and gas fees, so Behance decided to enable its users to showcase the proof-of-stake Solana NFTs projects they created on their profiles.
There are already tens of thousands of @Behance users showcasing the NFTs they created on Ethereum. Some, though, have concerns about the energy use of Ethereum and the high transaction costs. As a Proof of Stake chain, #solana addresses this. (3/8)— williamallen.eth (@williamallen) March 7, 2022
A single transaction on @solana uses less energy than two google searches and costs a fraction of a penny. While they work towards full decentralization, the low energy usage and transaction fees are a real innovation. (4/8)— williamallen.eth (@williamallen) March 7, 2022
Phantom Wallet’s official page tweeted replying:
We’re excited for NFTs to be integrated into creative platforms like @Behance. Artists will have an eco-friendly and low-cost way to experiment with NFTs and showcase their work. Huge for the #Solana creator community!
